SubAtomic is an ELECTRONIC FUSION QUARTET, hailing from Portland, Oregon. Our sonic style is evolving as we improvise and experiment with our creative ideas. Deryk Dement plays drums, everything from tasty mellow jazz to heavy duty breakbeat that will make you shake your ass and get down. DD has played with DJ Disk, Tricky and has gigged all over the world. Dave Binnig plays trumpet into effects pedals creating on-the-fly loops that weave a smooth ambient texture and will carry you through space and time. Joel Barber provides heady vocal samples and sound effects via turntable and laptop. JB is half of Portland’s electronic duo Surrounded by Ninjas. Filling out the low-end frequency is Dr. Ruff on electric bass and midi rig.

“Taming Marazul is made up of two wonderful musicians, Kurtis Fischer on vocal and guitar and Robin Ward on vocal and cello. Their combined performance was one of the best this music reviewer has heard this year. It’s was like an early version of Screaming Trees meets Chris Issak who then blends magically into an almost Beatles-like White Album performance with a pinch of Johnny Cash. You might ask yourself, where in the hell has Taming Marazul been? But, maybe a more important question is where are they going? I hope big time because the world needs music like this.

It’s clear to see and hear that they are two extremely talented artists who do not compromise their music nor beliefs. The music catches you from the get go and doesn’t let you go for days to follow. These are very open, friendly, and audience ready performers that I would highly recommend. ” Little Eagle May 9, 2007

Come on by for a great happy hour, a meal, and some really great music.

Always non-smoking and large groups welcome!

Sean Garcia’s authentic talent for both song writing and performing make him a great breath of fresh air in today’s overly saturated music industry. Garcia’s melodies are unique yet catchy. He possesses a distinct and commanding voice that is powerful enough to fill a venue without a microphone, but as a skilled vocalist, he also has the ability to draw his listeners in just as well with the smooth softer side of his vocals.

The moment Sean strokes his guitar and begins to sing, he lets you into his world. Through his songs, Sean Garcia takes you to a vulnerable place we all experience, where the world we know doesn’t always make sense. Yet, through his music & lyrics you do feel a sense of hope for tomorrow and better days for those who are truly seeking them. Sean’s song writing is artistic and classy. Still, you can’t help but hear his pop influences just enough to keep the songs stuck in your head. Just enough to leave a lasting impression. ….from Sean’s website
